From Thailand, we offer silver jewelry, handcrafted in a centuries old tradition. This “Hill Tribe Silver” is 97-99% pure silver, pliable and easy to bend and shape into interesting forms. In the early 1960’s, King Rama IX and Queen Sirikit determined to help the Karen people develop an alternative to growing their cash crop of opium. As a part of this royal project, silver experts were enlisted to share their skills with the farmers. Each design is carefully hand made, engraved or stamped – often with plant, animal or geometric patterns, symbols of tribal peoples’ connection to nature. Working directly with the crafters, this combination of the old and new becomes our Spirithouse version of a Thai Classic. Our Hill Tribe Silver collection is one of the most complete we have seen outside of Thailand.
Bali is world famous for silver work. The quality and attention to design detail of our jewelry from Bali are a great source of pride to us at Spirithouse. The creative Balinese artists love to use gifts from Mother Nature, featured in our Sterling Silver collection of rings, bracelets, pendants and rings.
